Whoa. Where did the sun go? Why is everything suddenly dark? Let me just scan the skies real quick to make sure it's nothing more than a boring old cloud... oooookaaaaayyyy. Those aren't clouds. Those are dragons.
And not just any dragons either. We're talking about the magnificent, majestic, marvelous creatures from the Hw to Trn Yr Drgon Add-On by Universal and Gamemode One. So let's gaze upward and see if we can spot more of them.
What is Hw to Trn Yr Drgon?
Forget everything you thought you knew about Minecraft's skies. With this add-on, dragons are naturally woven right into your Survival worlds. Wherever you go, whatever biome you saunter past, you're bound to stumble upon one. And not just one type either. You'll come face-to-face with the hardy Gronckle, the poisonous Deadly Nadder, the sturdy Hideous Zippleback, the fearsome Monstrous Nightmare, and of course, the speedy Night Fury. Each dragon has its own unique personality. Some are hungrier than others. Some crave naps. Some crave attention. They hunt prey. They protect their turf. And they definitely know you're there.
Best you take some inspiration from Hiccup and pluck up some courage.
Now, I hear what you're saying, Team Cloud. "But clouds are cool too!" Sure, clouds are fine. But have you ever bonded with a cloud? Have you ever earned a cloud's trust and flown through the sky on its back? Didn't think so. That's another point for Team Dragon.
Bonding with these beasts is the real magic here. You earn a dragon's trust the same way you'd earn anything's trust - by feeding it. Pro tip from me: don't approach with a drawn weapon. It'll end poorly. Very poorly. But if you come correct, with food in hand and good intentions, that dragon will start to see you differently. Once you've earned its trust and saddled up, you can ride it. Then you can start using your dragon to break blocks and fend off dangers. And as trust builds even further, you'll fly farther and stay airborne longer. Eventually, you'll unlock blast attacks like the Gronckle's lava spit or the Monstrous Nightmare's ability to set everything on fire.
To fly is to flaunt. That's a fact. And to truly cement yourself as the ruler of the skies, you simply must armor up. Use the Forge, a brand new crafting table, to craft armor for both you and your dragon. Mix and match different designs with different paints. Make it unique. Make it yours. All so that you and your winged friend can match, soar, and attack in style. Could you dress your dragon up as a cloud and finally end the debate? Just kidding. Of course there's a winner here. It's dragons. Always dragons.
